Celebrate Food at the Gardens
Do you eat? Yeah. Me too! Food Day at Denver Botanic Gardens was designed with you and me in mind! It will be a day to simply celebrate food- with events being held all over the nation. What could be better? Well, how about all the great things that will actually be taking place that day? Cooking demos, discussions, local-food tastings, films, exhibits, tours… just to name a few of the activities. Did I mention that this is all FREE? Not only are the Food Day events free but in support of Food Day, Denver Botanic Gardens will be open free to the public.
Food Day was created to raise awareness about (1) reducing obesity and diet-related diseases by promoting safe, healthy foods; (2) supporting local agriculture and sustainable farming, production and production practices; and (3) expanding access to food and alleviating hunger; and second, to provide education and resources for Coloradoans that support sustainable living. Our speakers and presenters are all local experts in their field (no pun intended!) that are passionate about food and supporting safe, affordable food to all Coloradans.
Bring the entire family to Food Day at the Gardens on Monday, October 24 for interesting and entertaining events, informational booths, and tastings to enjoy.
