Just another day at the office
The past several weeks have been an exciting time for our Events Team here at Denver Botanic Gardens. Just this past month, we have had our annual Plant Sale and Mother’s Day Event. During these exhilarating experiences, I had the opportunity to get to know and appreciate the truly incredible sights of not simply eager, plant-shoppers and proud mothers, but breathtaking nature right here in our city. Everything around me was so beautiful and alive; it made me feel alive, too. Everywhere I looked was like a snapshot of a memory that you want to keep with you forever.
You see, I thought that as a full-blooded Ohioan, I was very in-tune with my green side. It was not until I found myself in our Japanese Garden, distributing Denver Daisies to glowing mothers, that I realized I was wrong. I was taken over by the peace of this place and the joy that was radiating from the people in it. It felt so wonderful to be a part of it. As I continued to up the path, with daisies in hand, I realized how wonderful this day was. That’s just another day at the office!

Lacey,
What a wonderful office to work in–the great outdoors! Love the photo of the beautiful Denver Daisy.
Please go to the following Web site for locations where you can pick up a free Denver Daisy seed packet.

You can also find out more about Denver’s 150th birthday on that Web site.
By the way, Denver Botanic Gardens’ Information Desk is out of the popular Denver Daisy seed packets.
The Plant Sale was great this year. My thanks to all who plan and volunteer!
John,
Your thanks are always appreciated. Staff and volunteers both put a lot of time and effort into the preparation and execution of these events. The teamwork of the entire staff and the dedication of volunteers are what makes the pre-planned events a reality. It is wonderful to feel good about the work you do, and to know that others apprectiate you, and enjoy themselves at our events. So, thank you for your feedback. I’m so glad you thought the event was a success.
Doris,
Thank you for your encouragement. I also appreciate the extra information about Denver Daisies you suggested to check-out. I’ll be sure to look into it.
